Business & Community Advocacy
The Chamber has an active and engaged Business and Community Advocacy Council and Transportation Committees along with Special Issues Taskforces that represent our diverse membership and guide the Chamber's identification of and response to current issues, proposed legislation, pro-business opportunities and regulatory threats. The strategy and policy actions are approved by the Chamber Board of Directors so we can speak as one voice, the voice of Greater Reading Regional businesses and community.
The council/task forces/work groups below keep our pro-business goals at the forefront of the Pennsylvania and Federal agendas. They also recommend strategy and policy actions to be approved by the Chamber Board of Directors so we can speak as one voice, the voice of Berks County Businesses, to our legislators and key officials.

Utilize our Issues Task Forces based on their expertise to identify, analyze and evaluate issues and policies that impact the business and economic well-being of our members, investors and community. We engage our membership to become part of our grassroots network to advocate a pro-business policy agenda that will further the economic and business climate of the region. By developing working relationship with officials at all levels to identify issues and solutions along with establishing regional alliance to promote key policy priorities and initiatives.
